THE ANNUAL OUTAGE AT UNIT 5 HAS STARTED

On April 20, 2014 at 2:22 am the 1000MW Unit 5 at Kozloduy NPP was shut down for annual outage. During the downtime the planned maintenance activities as well as preventive activities on Unit equipment and systems are to be performed, including implementation of measures determined in the National Plan following stress tests. The reactor will be loaded with fresh nuclear fuel for its 21st fuel cycle.
According to the schedule, the annual outage is to be completed until the end of May. Unit 6 (the second 1000MW unit at Kozloduy NPP) is operated at full power in compliance with the directions of the Electricity System Operator (ESO).
