US AMBASSADOR HERRO MUSTAFA VISITED KOZLODUY NPP

On 03 December, 2020, the US Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Herro Mustafa paid a visit to Kozloduy NPP to meet the Chief Executive Officer, Nasko Mihov, and the Company management team.
In his address to the guests, Nasko Mihov emphasized the plant’s key role for the Bulgarian energy and economy and the high level of safety and reliability attained. He pointed out that over the years, excellent partnerships had been established between Kozloduy NPP and US nuclear companies.
Ambassador Mustafa said: “Today’s meeting was a continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of nuclear energy for civilian purposes, signed in October. I was excited to see and hear about the advantages that Kozloduy has to offer concerning the infrastructure and human capital which should make it the centre of Bulgarian nuclear energy for future generations.”
The Safety and Quality Director, Emiliyan Edrev, presented the priority projects implemented in the Company and the status of the nuclear fuel supplies diversification programme.
A presentation on the progress of the project for construction of a new nuclear unit on-site of Kozloduy NPP was delivered by Lyuben Marinov, CEO of Kozloduy NPP – New Build EAD.
The US delegation visit ended with a technical tour of the Kozloduy NPP site.
