THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA VISITS KOZLODUY NPP
On 29 June, 2020, Rumen Radev - President of the Republic of Bulgaria, visited Kozloduy NPP. At the Training Center he had a meeting with the management team of the company, during which he was acquainted with the current state of nuclear facilities and the main priorities in the activities of the nuclear power plant.
In the course of conversation, the Chief Executive Officer of Kozloduy NPP, Nasko Mihov, noted that the plant is the largest producer of electricity in the country and a leading enterprise in the energy sector, where for over 45 years of successful operation it has gained vast experience. Generations of highly qualified nuclear power engineers have grown here and this continuity contributes to the high level of safety, which is confirmed by positive assessments of international review missions, pointed out Nasko Mihov.
The President said that he was impressed by what had been achieved at the nuclear power plant and, like every Bulgarian, felt proud that Bulgaria had introduced high technologies and was successfully developing its nuclear energy. During the visit, Rumen Radev was shown Unit 5.
