KOZLODUY NPP UNIT 6 OUTAGE HAS BEEN COMPLETED

On 23 November 2024 the outage of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant Unit 6 was completed and after an inspection by the Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency the Unit was connected to the national grid at 10:07 am.
The activities included in the outage schedule which began on 19 October 2024 as well as the planned measures related to safety enhancement and long-term operation were successfully completed. The reactor of Unit 6 was loaded with fresh nuclear fuel for the next cycle.
The necessary tests and inspections were successfully carried out to confirm the equipment operability and reliability.
In accordance with the Technical Specification, the unit power was increased gradually.
Kozloduy NPP Unit 5 is being operated according to the power generation schedule.
